Local church hosts Juneteenth Pop-Up Shop supporting local businesses
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and organizer Victoria Clark invite you to shop, eat and meet Black vendors in the community at Shiloh’s Juneteenth Pop-Up Shop.
“With this holiday coming up I thought it would be a really good opportunity for us to uplift our community and local businesses that are smaller and less known,” said Clark.
“Historically Black businesses have not had the same opportunities that other booths have had. This is our way of trying to contribute to them and help them to become better known in the community,” said Pastor Fred Jeff Smith of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19 at 185 Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive.
