Local couple wins big on scratch-off — twice
SANDUSKY, Ohio (WJW) – Lady Luck was on the side of an Ohio couple playing the lottery.
The Sandusky couple picked up lottery tickets on a grocery run to their local Kroger.
Winning Powerball jackpot ticket hits $212 million
“We had a couple of lottery tickets we needed to cash in, and he got groceries and got the lottery tickets,” the woman told the Ohio Lottery.
Her husband bought six “Billion” lottery tickets.
The first one they scratched was a $10,000 winner, according to the Ohio Lottery.
The take home after taxes is $7,200.

The couple tried their luck again on the same game the following week and claimed another $500.
Billion is a $50 scratch-off with a top prize of $1 million a year for 20 years.
The winners say they’ll use the prize money to pay off their hot tub.
