Malaysia now a destination of choice for Indian filmmakers

After the success on filming "Kabali", Malaysia is now a destination for filmmakers from India.


"Singam 3" will undergo principal photography in Malaysia next month.

18 Mar – After Rajinikanth's "Kabali" had completed filming in Malaysia, now more Indian filmmakers are taking their turn to get their films shot in Malaysia too.

Among the latest Indian films to undergo shooting in Malaysia next month is "Singam 3", starring Surya Sivakumar and Anushka Shetty.

According to the managing director of Malik Streams Corporation Sdn Bhd, Datuk Abdul Malik Dasthigeer, Malaysia has become the choice destination for Indian filmmakers because of the country's stability and their friendly citizens.

"They (Indian filmmakers) are excited with the beauty of this country. The facilities available, its cost , and Malaysians who have extraordinary hospitality," he tells Utusan Online. Meanwhile, Abdul Malik also reveals that his team will be involved with the filming of "Singam 3" particularly the production and as the official distributor of the film.

He also mentioned that there are more movies from India that will have their shooting done in Malaysia after "Singam 3".
