Ginny Dickey is the three-term mayor of Fountain Hills, having been elected for the first time in 2018 and again in both 2020 and 2022. During her last reelection she beat-out former Maricopa County Sherriff Joe Arpaio for the position.

Dickey is a native New Yorker who moved to Fountain Hills in the 1980s after receiving her bachelor's degree in mathematics from Tufts University in Massachusetts. She has long been politically active in Arizona, filling roles ranging from a staffer at the state Senate to assistant director of the Department of Environmental Quality.

Before being elected mayor, Dickey served as a Town Council member for eight years. She is retired but spent her career working as a banker, a part-time teacher and a bookkeeper.

Unlike Town Council positions in Fountain Hills, the mayor only serves two-year terms and is put on the ballot during every town election cycle; Dickey will be up for reelection in 2024.
