Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to campaign Friday in Detroit, Flint and Traverse City
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz plans to make three campaign stops in Michigan on Friday as early voting continues ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential election, his campaign announced Tuesday.
Walz, who is running mate to Vice President Kamala Harris, is scheduled to arrive at Detroit Metropolitan Airport late Thursday afternoon and then hold afternoon events Friday in Detroit and Flint and an evening event in Traverse City, the campaign said in a news release.

Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, and Donald Trump, the former president and Republican nominee, have been frequent visitors to Michigan in recent weeks, as have their running mates, Walz and Ohio Sen. JD Vance.
Michigan is a key battleground state in the election and polls show a close race both in Michigan and across the country.
Walz was last in Michigan on Monday, when he and Harris hosted a large rally in Ann Arbor.
