Mobile’s newly reopened splash pad closes for repairs, officials say

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobilians will have to find other ways to cool off as officials said the Medal of Honor Park splash pad is closed until further notice.

According to a Facebook post from the City of Mobile Parks & Recreation, the park’s splash pad, which was re-opened on July 4, is closed while crews continue maintenance repairs on the water pump.

“We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause as we understand what a joy it is to have a fun place to cool off during these hot Summer days!” the post said.
