The Morning Show season 4 casts Jeremy Irons in important role
Jeremy Irons has joined the cast of The Morning Show.
According to Deadline, the Oscar winner is taking on the role of Alex Levy's (Jennifer Aniston) father, Martin Levy, who will be introduced in the Apple TV+ drama's upcoming fourth season.
He'll be joined by fellow newcomer and Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, who was previously cast as Celine Dumont, a "savvy operator from a storied European family".

The news of Irons' casting comes shortly after it was announced that Julianna Margulies will not be reprising her role as Laura Peterson for season four, after she reportedly turned down an offer to appear in one episode.
However, her return in a potential fifth season hasn't been ruled out, as showrunner Charlotte Stoudt previously told Variety that she would like to further develop the character beyond her relationship with Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon).
"There's a kind of pathos to Laura, this loneliness to her. She went through something really difficult… Laura went through that phase of homophobia, and you get the sense her family doesn't accept her. So I wanted to find her vulnerability more," she explained.

"We're very, very, very early in the room [for season four], but I think I'd want to explore that more. Her dimensionality. Not just: 'I'm Laura and I love Bradley, and she occasionally drives me crazy!' I think there's more to Laura than that."
The Morning Show's fourth season is set to arrive next year, with Stoudt previously revealing that the next batch of episodes won't begin streaming until after this year's US presidential election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, which is scheduled to take place on November 5.
According to the showrunner, this is because the writers are trying to approach the fourth season in an "interesting way without being predictive"
The Morning Show seasons 1-3 are streaming now on Apple TV+, with a fourth arriving next year.
