Murder suspect charged after man shot, crashed into pole: Akron police

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — A man has been arrested for murder following a shooting that left a man dead, Akron police announced Wednesday.
On June 13, Brandon Daniels, 38, was shot multiple times while driving a vehicle and crashed into a pole on the 600 block of West Thornton Street. He was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.
At the time, police said they identified persons of interest but did not offer any details.
On Wednesday, police said they had arrested 23-year-old Kato Yanzanes and charged him with murder in connection with Daniels’ death.
“During the investigation, detectives determined that Yanzanes was involved in an ongoing dispute with the victim throughout the day of the incident,” police said in a statement.

Yanzanes, who reportedly surrendered Tuesday, was booked at the Summit County jail.
