The reboot is currently in an early state of development, and hasn't even been picked up for a full season order yet. If it does get that greenlight, the plan is to approach other original actors, with James Lafferty (Nathan Scott) and Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James Scott) among those named.
The premise of the reboot is set to follow Brooke and Peyton as parents of teenagers of their own, and will see the younger generation go through the same issues and dramas the OGs did back in the day.
Bush and Burton have retained close links to One Tree Hill since it wrapped up all those years ago, co-hosting a podcast called Drama Queens alongside fellow One Tree Hill star Lenz, in which they dissect episodes and moments from the hit TV series.

According to Deadline,Chad Michael Murray, who starred as Lucas Scott, has no interest in returning.
However, things could change as a few years back, he spoke encouragingly about a reboot and said that he had "an idea that's been bouncing around in my head to do a new generation of this show, dealing with today's issue".
UK viewers can watch all of the original One Tree Hill on ITVX.
