NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to arrest two suspects who are accused of stealing an adult tricycle and human remains in the Bywater neighborhood. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

The crime happened around 5 p.m. on July 18 in the 3700 block of Dauphine Street. According to police, two men were able to get past the security door of an apartment complex to steal the bike and package containing the human remains.

WGNO’s Wheel of Justice report that aired on Aug. 12 took a closer look at the crime.

The next day, the NOPD announced a suspect in the case. He’s identified as 33-year-old Andrew Michael Ingham. According to police, along with theft in this case, Ingham faces charges of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and illegal possession of stolen things in connection with other cases. Police did not announce the name of the second suspect.

The tricycle belonged to the Krewe of Kolossos, which creates paper mache animal figures around bicycle and tricycle frames and rolls in the parades of multiple carnival krewes.

The remains were mailed to another tenant in the same building and reportedly contained the cremated remains of the tenant’s niece and some artwork. Neither the tricycle nor cremains have been recovered.
