NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are searching for a man who is accused of threatening someone with a gun at Delgado Community College.

On Friday, Sept. 13, the NOPD reported that a man allegedly threatened another person with a firearm at a school in the 600 block of City Park Avenue.

Trial date moved for former New Orleans police officer Jeffrey Vappie

Officials with Delgado Community College issued a statement on Friday saying that “an incident occurred between a student and a non-student, during which the non-student displayed a gun. Delgado Campus Police responded immediately and are coordinating with local law enforcement, who are actively investigating.”

On Monday, Sept. 16, NOPD investigators identified the suspect as 19-year-old Cleavon Stewart.

Police say Stewart is believed to drive a silver Infiniti sedan with black rims.

Stewart is wanted on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm on school property and unlawful disruption of the operations of a school in connection with the incident.
