Over $1,500 worth of property stolen from Hanford JCPenny

HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One person was arrested and two others escaped after more than $1,500 worth of stolen property was taken from a Hanford JCPenny, according to the Hanford Police Department.

On Sunday, March 24th, Hanford Police responded to a reported theft involving three men running from the JCPenny on W. Lacey Blvd. in Hanford with a large stack of stolen jeans.

When officers arrived they reported finding the three men hiding behind a business with the stolen property. The three men ran from police and one of them was eventually caught.

The person caught has been identified as 18-year-old Jorge Garcia from Visalia, officers say. Garcia was transported to Kings County Jail and booked for charges including grand theft auto and conspiracy to commit felony crime.

The other two men involved in the incident are still outstanding at this time, according to Hanford Police.
