Owen Wilson's untitled Apple TV+ project has added another star, with The Mandalorian’s Timothy Olyphant joining the series.

The series, which was announced back in March, sees Wilson play a former professional golfer, Pryce Cahill, whose career was abruptly derailed over two decades ago.

Though the comedy series is yet to have a title, it seems progress is being made on the Apple TV+ project, with Variety reporting that Olyphant — who played Cobb Vanth in The Mandalorian — has joined the cast.

Olyphant, who played Raylan Givens on FX’s Justified and its spin-off Justified: City Primeval, will play Clark in the sports comedy, with his character described as "a successful, former golf pro who once toured with Pryce".

The synopsis for the series, which will consist of 10 episodes, reads: “Pryce Cahill [is] an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After he gets fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store and his wife walks out on him, Pryce hedges his bets entirely on a troubled, 17-year-old golf phenom (Insidious: The Red Door's Peter Dager).”

While the untitled golf show is still a fair way from hitting the screen, Wilson can be seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Disney+'s Loki, with the star playing Mobius M Mobius.

In the second season of the show, the character showed a new side as he was engulfed in anger, with director Dan Deleeuw speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the process of drawing those emotions from Wilson.

“With Owen it's that energy, right? Working with the different actors, they all have different ways in which you can inspire them in terms of the adjustments that you give so, with Owen, I think it's about energy,” he explained.

“It's kind of revving him up a little bit and kind of 'get the energy going', 'get the energy going', and then I'll get him to where we need him to go.”

Loki seasons 1-2 are streaming on Disney+.
