Grand Island student struck, killed on South Parkway
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Grand Island eighth grader was struck and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday night.
NITTEC initially reported the closure of South Parkway from Broadway to Love Road due to a crash at 9:08 p.m. Officials at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to WIVB News 4 that a body was located at the scene.
The superintendent of Grand Island Central School District Brian Graham said in a Facebook post Wednesday night that an 8th grade student was struck by a vehicle on South Parkway near Broadway.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
