Quantum Leap season 2 adds The 100 and Yellowjackets stars
Quantum Leap spoilers follow.
Quantum Leap season 2 is just under a month away from premiering, and some new cast members joining the show have been revealed.
Neighbours and The 100 star Eliza Taylor plus Yellowjackets and One Piece's Peter Gadiot have both been added to the show, according to Variety.
Taylor's character Hannah Carson will be introduced in episode 3 and is described as "a complex young woman who may be more than she appears", while Gadiot will play a "thoughtful" and "centered" US Army officer named Tom Westfall.
His character will oversee the Quantum Leap project and is noted as being "a spiritual kind of warrior who both men and women admire, but whose humility keeps him from ever being arrogant".

Season 2 is expected to pick up where the season 1 finale left off, with lead character Ben Song foiling a murder but ending up with him inhabiting the body of a man named Perez in 1978 instead.
Season 2 is set to focus more on the leaps, with showrunner Martin Gero teasing that the show's secondary characters are going to get a lot more focus this time around.
"Ian, Magic and Jenn kind of get the short end of the stick a lot because they’re stuck in exposition land," he told TV Line. "When they can spend longer moments with Ben, I think we get to fill out who they are and dimensionalise those characters in such an important way.
"It's deeply, deeply emotional in a way that I think is going to be surprising and exciting."
As for Taylor, she's returning to the screen after announcing early last year that she'd welcomed a baby into the world with her partner, former Home and Away star Bob Morley.
"Though sleep is well and truly a thing of the past, we could not be happier," she wrote at the time.
Quantum Leap returns to NBC on October 4. It can be streamed via Paramount+ in the UK.
