6 injured, 2 in critical condition after Saturday morning shooting in Lathrup Village
Six people are injured after being shot early Saturday morning in Lathrup Village, police said.
At around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Lathrup Village police said they were dispatched to the 17000 block of Margate Ave. near Southfield.
Four young adults shot were non-life threatening, Lathrup Village police said. The other two young adults shot are in critical condition at a local hospital, but are expected to survive, police said.
WDIV-TV (Channel 4) said on its morning broadcast the victims are in their teens and early 20s.
Residents told WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) a party was taking place at a nearby home at the time of the shooting.
A suspect has not yet been apprehended, police told Fox 2 Detroit (WJBK-TV).
An investigation is ongoing.
