Sandbag-filling volunteers needed in San Miguel County
SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Officials are looking for volunteers to fill sandbags after flooding in San Miguel County, New Mexico.
San Miguel County and the City of Las Vegas are asking for help filling sandbags as the state doesn’t have enough to distribute in the communities experiencing flash flooding.
“Demand is exceeding production, and time is of the essence. We need to keep pushing forward,” stated a release from the City of Las Vegas.
Water conservation, unemployment cases encouraged for Las Vegas residents
From June 29 to July 5, volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the San Miguel County Public Road Works Yard.
