Satsuma City Schools introduces new principal for Satsuma High School

SATSUMA, Ala. (WKRG) — Satsuma High School has a new principal following a board meeting on Tuesday, News 5 has learned.

According to a news release, Satsuma City Schools appointed Dr. Jason Golden as the principal after a unanimous decision by the Board of Education at a special meeting on Tuesday, June 25.

Dr. Golden joins Satsuma High School, which is his alma mater, with more than 15 years of educational experience after working as principal of Rosa A. Lott Middle School, the release said.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Jason Golden to our team,” acting superintendent Dana Price said. “Dr. Golden brings a wealth of expertise in data-driven instruction that promises to elevate our educational standards.

Price added, “His leadership skills, innovative approach, and commitment to excellence are exactly what our district needs to move the needle and advance Satsuma High School to new heights.”
