Second suspect charged in downtown Augusta gunfight
A second suspect has been charged in connection to a shooting early Saturday in downtown Augusta.
Seven Whitfield, 23, of Hephzibah, was arrested Tuesday and is charged with one count of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during a felony, according to the GBI.
He was shot on the night of the incident, was taken to a local hospital and released the same day, the GBI noted in a press release.
On Sunday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, who is investigating the case, announced the arrest of Amazing Lee Blessed Brigham, 19, of Hephzibah.
Brigham was one of the three people shot during the encounter, which occurred outside of Sole restaurant on Broad Street.
