Shooting on I-25 near downtown investigated as possible road rage

DENVER (KDVR) — A shooting on Interstate 25 at Auraria Parkway that happened Saturday morning is being investigated as a possible road rage incident, according to the Denver Police Department.

The shooting happened around 10:15 a.m. on northbound I-25 and Auraria Parkway. The investigation closed down several lanes of traffic for a time, but the highway has since fully reopened.

One person was taken to a local hospital and was expected to survive.

Police said all involved parties had been contacted, but that no arrests had been made.

The investigation was ongoing. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Metro Denver Crimestoppers at 720-913-7867.
