Silver Alert canceled for 65-year-old Kenner man

KENNER, La. (WGNO) — A Silver Alert issued for a 65-year-old man reported missing out of Kenner on Thursday, Aug. 29, has been canceled.

According to the Louisiana State Police, the man, identified as James Evans Jr., was last seen around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday. He was discovered missing around 10:30 a.m. the next morning.

Evans reportedly walked away from a Kenner assisted living facility, where he’s a patient. On Saturday, Aug 31, Evans was located and returned back to the living facility in good health, according to the LSP.

Family members say that Evans has a medical condition that could impair his judgment.

On Saturday, Aug. 31, the LSP reported he was located after he returned to the assisted living facility.
