'Teetering on the edge of World War 3': Watch Newt Gingrich's speech at the RNC
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich spoke at the Republican National Convention in Wednesday, saying the world under the Biden administration is "teetering on the edge of World War 3."
Gingrich ran for president in the 2012 election, but dropped out before the RNC chose to endorse front-runner Mitt Romney. In his RNC speech Wednesday, he knocked multiple aspects of Biden's foreign policy, blaming him for the withdrawal from Afghanistan, Hamas' attack on Israel, and Iran being "on the verge of having nuclear weapons."
The RNC is taking place in Milwaukee through Thursday, when former President Donald Trump will formally accept the party’s nomination for the 2024 Election.
USA TODAY and the USA TODAY Network have more than 60 journalists on the ground in Milwaukee and you can follow along with our live blog for updates throughout the day.
