The Morning Show is bringing viewers back behind the scenes of its daytime news programme for another season of drama and intrigue.

Apple TV+'s hit show has returned for its third season, with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon reprising their roles as newscasters Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson.

Following its premiere on Wednesday, 13 September, The Morning Show season 3 has now started airing on Apple TV+, starting with a two-episode double-bill.

The new season will have 10 episodes in total and the remaining new episodes will be released on Apple TV+ on a weekly basis through to 8 November.

Breaking news: reviews for The Morning Show season 3 have started to land online, with outlets offering their own official verdict of the show’s third batch of episodes.

Places like USA Today immediately picked up on the wildness of season 3’s antics, suggesting that it didn’t “jump the shark... it literally hurls itself into space.”

The Telegraph highlighted its parallels to the dramas surrounding UK newsreaders Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby but suggested that it needed to be “funnier or more vicious” with its third outing before saying it had “lost its mojo.”

Meanwhile, IndieWire also commented on its out-there plot lines, explaining that “season 3 piles lunacy on top of utter lunacy as each hour ticks by,” with The Wrap focusing on its “overall frenzied nature” as well.

Season 3 of The Morning Show will see the stakes get ever higher both in and out of the newsroom as the future of the network is thrown into question following a cyber attack.

As mentioned, Aniston and Witherspoon will continue to lead the series as rival newscasters Alex and Bradley.

They will be joined once again by Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, and Julianna Margulies.

Season 3 will also see Jon Hamm and Nicole Beharie join the cast as billionaire Paul Marks and Christina Hunter, respectively.

A trailer was released for The Morning Show season 3 on Thursday, 24 August which showed Aniston and Witherspoon back in their critically-acclaimed roles.

The dramatic teaser clip saw tensions rise in the face of a cyber attack, with secrets threatening to come out and scandals on the bring of breaking out.
