Three-car accident in Champaign leaves one hurt

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — One person was hurt after a three-car accident in Champaign on Wednesday.

According to Joe Lamberson of the Champaign Police Department, It happened around 11:50 a.m. near West Springfield Avenue and South Fair Street. A car tried to turn across the street and into a business parking lot, but ran into another vehicle that was exiting the roadway. The second car struck a mulch pile, then came to rest against a third vehicle parked in the lot.

One taken to hospital after sprayer tractor, SUV crash in Champaign

One person was minorly hurt and taken to a nearby hospital out of an abundance of caution, police said. Springfield Avenue was temporarily closed as debris was picked up from the scene.
