Tickets available for NAACP's Martin Luther King breakfast in Kent

The Portage County NAACP will host its annual breakfast in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The event, a fundraiser for the civil rights organization's scholarship fund, will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Kent United Church of Christ, 1400 E. Main St., Kent. The theme is "Let's Strive Together."

The Rev. Eddie Harris, senior pastor of Upper Room Ministries COGIC in Ravenna, will be one of the speakers at the Portage County NAACP's breakfast in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The breakfast will take place Jan. 13 at the Kent United Church of Christ.

Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the NAACP website or by mailing a check to the NAACP office at 1400 E. Main St., Kent, OH 44240 by Monday.
