Trump running mate Sen. JD Vance to visit Traverse City on Wednesday
LANSING — Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the Republican candidate for vice president, plans a visit to Traverse City on Wednesday, his campaign announced Friday.
It will be Vance's sixth visit to Michigan since former President Donald Trump chose him as his running mate, in July.
Vance is to speak at 7 p.m. at the Northwestern Michigan Fair fairgrounds on Blair Town Hall Road, the campaign said. Those interested in attending can register on the website of the Trump campaign.
Michigan is a key battleground state and the presidential and vice presidential candidates have been frequent visitors amid polls showing a close race, both within the state and nationally.
