Former President Donald Trump has won North Carolina and its 16 electoral votes, according to the Associated Press. Trump also won the battleground state in 2020.

In addition to the presidential contest, North Carolina was home to a key gubernatorial race between Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein and Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson. The Associated Press declared Stein the winner, and he will replace Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper, who is term limited.
