Tucker Carlson says Trump will give country 'spanking' if elected in November
On Wednesday night, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson spoke to a Georgia crowd using a metaphor that described former President Donald Trump as an angry father about to come home to give a “vigorous spanking” to his disobedient daughter.
Carlson spoke on Wednesday night in a rally in Duluth, Georgia, warming up the crowd before the former president took the stage.
Trump’s visit to the Peach State comes as the election is now less than two weeks away and polls in the state show a dead heat between him and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Polls from Marist College and Morning Consult show a rollercoaster race in the state, with Marist giving Harris and one-point lead and Morning Consult giving Trump a two-point lead. Georgia could prove vital on the way to 270 electoral college votes for the win, as it holds 16 votes.
Carlson described Democratic leadership using metaphors
During his speech to the crowd, he described Democratic leadership during the last four years using a couple of metaphors.
These included calling Democratic leadership a “hormone-addled 15-year-old daughter,” or even a toddler who is allowed to “smear the contents of his diapers on the wall of your living room.”
He went on to describe Trump as a disappointed father, ready to discipline his children.
“When Dad gets home, you know what he says? ‘You’ve been a bad girl, you’ve been a bad little girl, and you’re getting a vigorous spanking right now,” he said. “I’m not going to lie. This is going to hurt you a lot more than it hurts me. And you earned this. You’re getting a vigorous spanking because you’ve been a bad girl.”
Video of the speech showed the crowd cheering following Carlson’s metaphor.
Carlson suggested that the crowd should not accept election results if Harris wins
Toward the end of his remarks, Carlson suggested to the crowd that if Harris were to win in November, they should not accept the results.
“At the end of all of that, when they tell you they’ve won, no!” Carlson said. “You can look them straight in the face and say ‘I’m sorry, Dad’s home, and he’s p-----.’”
