Two men hurt in overnight Danville shooting: Police

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Two men from Danville are recovering after they were shot late Sunday evening, police said.

The shootings happened at the Rabbittown Trade Center at 11:49 p.m. Officials said officers found evidence and witness statements that indicated several shots had been fired. Officers later met with two men at the hospital, ages 32 and 42, who confirmed they were struck by gunfire at the trade center.

Both men were treated and released from the hospital.

Crime Stoppers looking for tips in June 27 Champaign shooting

Officials said information is limited at this time as the investigation continues. The Danville Police Department is asking the public for assistance if they have information that can help.

Anyone who has a tip is asked to call either Danville Police at 217-431-2250 or Vermilion County Crime Stoppers at 217-446-8477. Information that leads to an arrest can be rewarded with up to $1,000 in cash.
