Do I need to register to vote?
Only if you aren’t already registered to vote.
How do I do that?
Submit your application to your County Elections Division. Residents can also register on the same day as the election at voter service centers. Check county websites for locations and hours.
What's the deadline?
Submit your application to your County Elections Division by 4:30 p.m. on the 10th day before the election.
Where do I find out where my polling site is?
Visit a designated place of deposit or voter service center in the county where you are registered. Centers are operational for 10 days leading up to Election Day for in-person voting.
Can I vote by mail?
Hawaii is among eight states nationwide with universal mail-in voting. Every eligible voter receives a mail ballot at least 18 days before each election.
What's the latest date I can turn in my ballot?
On Election Day at a voter service center. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Is there a way I can track my ballot?
Voters can virtually check the status of their mail-in ballot by signing up for BallotTrax.
What if I need help getting to the polling site?
If you foresee having trouble getting to the polls, you can request an absentee ballot.
