How do I do that?
You can register to vote online or in-person at state offices including Board of Elections offices, Department of Health offices, Department of Human Services offices and Motor Vehicle Administration offices. Find more details and a full list of locations here.
What's the deadline?
The deadline to register online or by mail is Oct. 15, but you can continue to register in-person through Election Day.

Can I vote by mail?
Anyone can vote by mail in Maryland. If you have a Maryland driver’s license you can apply online. You can also return a paper form by mail, fax or email or apply in person at your local Board of Elections office. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot sent to you by mail or fax is Oct. 29. To receive a ballot online, the deadline to apply is Nov. 1.
What's the latest date I can turn in my ballot?
Your mail-in ballot must be postmarked or hand delivered to the Board of Elections by 8 p.m. or to a ballot drop box by the time the polls close.
