Watch Doug Burgum's speech at the Republican National Convention

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) took the podium at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee to say former president Donald Trump will make the U.S. energy dominant if reelected.

The governor said President Joe Biden's green agenda looks like it was written by China and Iran claiming that his policies makes those nations richer and blamed the Democrat for soaring electricity bills.

Burgum is in his second term as governor of North Dakota and briefly launched a campaign for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Although he was on the short list, former President Donald Trump did not select him as a vice presidential running mate, opting instead for Sen. JD Vance (R-OH).
