How to watch highly anticipated Biden news conference
President Biden is holding a rare press conference Thursday as he tries to shake off mounting calls for him to withdraw from the presidential race.
Biden is holding the news conference as part of the NATO summit in Washington this week. The press event is seen as a key test for the president as he tries to convince voters, policymakers and other Democrats he is capable of running for reelection and serving a second term.
His debate performance last month sparked concerns among Democrats over whether he is the best candidate to beat former President Trump as questions swirled over Biden’s age and mental acuity.
The president has remained clear he will not drop out of the race despite calls from within his party to do so.
Here’s how to watch the highly anticipated news conference Thursday evening.
What time does it start?
The press conference will be held at 6:30 p.m. EDT. His conference will come after a busy day of meetings at the NATO summit, including with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Where is Biden speaking?
He will be speaking at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where many of the NATO Summit events have been located this week.
Where can you watch it?
The White House streams most of its live events, but many networks also likely will air the press conference.
