Watch replay: Vice President Kamala Harris speaks at event in East Lansing
Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has a busy day planned in Michigan today with events scheduled in Detroit, Pontiac and East Lansing, according to the Office of the Vice President.
Sunday will mark Harris' 12th day of campaigning in Michigan since she announced she'd seek the Democratic nomination for president in July. It underscores the importance of Michigan to her campaign and that of former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee.
Today, around noon, she spoke at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ in Detroit.

“It’s so good to worship with you today,” Harris said at the lectern, according to remarks released by her office.
“So church, we have two days, two days until we decide the fate of our nation,” she continued.
“Here in Michigan right now, each of us has an opportunity to make a difference, because in this moment, we face a real question, what kind of country do we want to live in?” Harris said.
Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow was also reportedly in attendance.
Harris also made a stop at Kuzzo's Chicken and Waffles, owned by Detroit native and former Detroit Lions player Ron Bartell, in Detroit. Her campaign said Harris was joined by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Lieutenant Gov. Garlin Gilchrist and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan.
Harris is scheduled to make a stop in Pontiac, another city with a significant Black population and historic ties to the auto industry, a senior Harris campaign official, who declined to be identified, told the Free Press on Friday.
Tonight, at around 6 p.m., Harris will speak at an event in East Lansing.
