Replay: Kamala Harris visits Detroit, speaks at Labor Day rally
Vice President Kamala Harris made a campaign stop in Detroit on Labor Day, kicking off the final stretch of the presidential race in Michigan and marking her first stop in the key battleground state since she formally accepted the Democratic nomination.
Harris spoke live from Northwestern High School shortly after 1 p.m. You can watch the replay in the video player above (or tap here).
Detroit has a long history of hosting presidential candidates on a federal holiday celebrating American workers.
A recent Free Press poll covering the end of the Democratic National Convention through last Monday shows former President Donald Trump with a one percentage point lead over Harris, within the margin of error.
After campaigning in Michigan, Harris will head to Pennsylvania to hold an event in Pittsburgh for the first joint event with President Joe Biden since he dropped his bid for another term and endorsed Harris to replace him on the top of the ticket.
