Zelig Williams’ Family Expands Search Area 2 Weeks After Broadway Dancer Went Missing
The search of Zelig Williams is continuing more than two weeks after the Broadway dancer went missing in South Carolina.
After authorities discovered Zelig’s car in the parking lot of a hiking trailhead more than 20 miles from his home, Zelig’s mother Kathy Williams and cousin Mieoki Corbett-Jacobs told CNN the search will expand to both sides of the Palmetto Trail.

“As a family, we’ve been searching,” Corbett-Jacobs. “We’ve searched that area ourselves on foot more than once, and now we’re looking to expand our search.”
Palmetto Trail spans the state and leads to major roads, with the trailhead where Zelig’s car was found near Congaree National Park. Explaining that the family “loves a good walking trail,” Corbett-Jacobs suggested he may have sought a nice spot for a walk.
She also noted that the family believes Zelig might have stopped taking his medications, which were prescribed for his mental health, around the time he went missing.
“He didn’t wander off. This is definitely a missing persons (case) with suspected foul play,” said Corbett-Jacobs.
Zelig, who performed in MJ The Musical, Hamilton and Hugh Jackman‘s 2019 tour The Man. The Music. The Show, was last seen by his family on Oct. 3 in his Columbia, SC hometown, where he’d previously relocated from New York. He was reported missing the next day to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department as family noted it was “out of character” for him to lose contact for a day, and Jackman has since asked his fans for help locating him.
“Please … if anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Zelig Williams please reach out to your local authorities. Zelig we love you and are praying for your safe return,” wrote Jackman on his Instagram Story. “Please pass this message on!!!”
