In the 2003 superhero film, Halle played Storm and Alan played Nightcrawler.
Alan said that everything started when the cast members, who included Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, James Marsden, and Famke Janssen, decided to have a little talk with Bryan about his behavior at work.

Alan wrote that Bryan “admitted [that] he was using painkillers at the time,” and the group wanted to have an intervention with him.

Halle specifically talked to Bryan about “people she had known with drug issues,” and she “spoke movingly” of them.

But after taking a pause, Bryan allegedly told his coworkers, "You people … are full of fucking shit!” And that "none of [them] had ever made a decent film.”

Alan also wrote that Bryan told the actors that they "were lucky to be working with him,” so Halle decided to walk away.

"I've heard enough," she allegedly said while leaving the intervention. "You can kiss my Black ass."

The Hollywood Reporter has also published an article about an incident that occurred on the X2 set. In 2020, it reported that executive producer Tom DeSanto "attempted to halt shooting when he learned that Singer was incapacitated after taking a narcotic."

However, Bryan decided to continue shooting, and that caused Hugh to get injured on set — thus leading to the cast’s intervention.

But this isn’t the first time that Bryan has been in the news. In 2019, he was accused of sexually assaulting underage boys.
