Jets OL Morgan Moses to have MRI after exiting Patriots game with knee injury
Not everything from the Jets' Week 3 win over the Patriots was positive as OL Morgan Moses exited the game early with a knee injury.
In the third quarter, Aaron Rodgers dropped back but fellow lineman Tyron Smith whiffed on his assignment allowing Patriots linebacker Josh Uche to get to the quarterback for a sack. Unfortunately, Moses was rolled from behind on the play.
The 33-year-old writhed in pain but eventually walked to the sidelines under his own power. After heading into the blue tent, Moses walked to the locker room. He was listed as questionable before being downgraded to out with the knee injury.
The Jets will await the results of an MRI tomorrow.
“I’m always going to be optimistic with it," Jets head coach Robert Saleh said after the win. “We’ll have better answers tomorrow.”
Jets first-round pick Olu Fashanu finished the game in place of Moses.
Moses has been an iron man for Washington, the Jets and Baltimore, missing just three games over the last three seasons. He's played in at least 16 games in eight of his 10 seasons entering this one.
