PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Danville loses by one to Central
Feb. 14—CHAMPAIGN — THe Danville boys basketball tam tried to go for its second win in a row on Tuesday, but could not get it.
After building a 21-13 first quarter lead, the Vikings saw themseves down 34-30 at halftime and lost a close 64-63 game to the Maroons.
Ja'Vaughn Robinson ahd 29 points to lead the Vikings, while Jerry Reed had 13 points, C.L. Dye had nine points and Darius Jay and Tayvion Diltz each had four.
Chris Bush had a game-high 30 points for Centra., wile Luke Swanson added 10.
The Vikings will now start their playoff run at 6 p.m. on Monday with a game against Rantoul in an IHSA Class 3A regional.
