In honor of the Brooklyn Museum’s “Killer Heels” exhibition opening on September 10, which explores the history and obsession of high heels, we’ve compiled some of the most memorable plunges from the runway. What we’ve gleaned? Even the most elegant of catwalkers trip up occasionally. Click through for photo evidence of Agyness Deyn, Lara Stone, and Lindsey Wixson making falling look fabulous. Even Naomi Campbell, clad in Vivienne Westwood’s epic monster platforms (mock-crocodile and towering high at nine-inches), was brought down at the designer’s 1993 Paris show. New York Fashion Week kicks off Thursday, but hopefully the upcoming runways will be free of falls.
