Joan Didion's Not the Only Star: See Celine's Entire Spring Campaign

Yesterday's announcement that Joan Didion was the face of Céline’s Spring ad campaign broke the corners of the internet immune to naked Kim Kardashian (ok, not immune, but perhaps more inspired by other things). My Instagram feed was a constant stream of the already iconic image. While we wondered what inspired the legendary writer to pose for Juergen Teller's camera, Céline released the rest of their campaign, starring French ballerina and choreographer Marie-Agnés Gillot, as well as British model Freya Lawrence.

This esoteric combination showcases Céline’s broad-ranging appeal: models are a nice way to showcase your clothes, but when you put them on women with diverse backgrounds and epic careers, it makes an even bigger statement .
