Ashley Graham Brought Her Mom to Work
Ashley Graham is currently one of the largest names in fashion known especially for her influence on the body positive movement. With a new book, an inspiring Ted Talk and her own swimsuit line Swimsuits for All, she is a role model for women of all ages and sizes. But she hasn’t forgotten to give credit to the woman behind the self-love that she preaches — her mom.
The supermodel posted a photo to Instagram yesterday featuring her and mother Linda Graham in matching looks that show just how similar they are. Both rocking fresh faces, one-piece swimsuits, and denim cover-ups, the two looked ready for a mother-daughter photo shoot.

“Bring your Mama to work day!!!!” Graham captioned the photo, while fans began to wonder who the professional model in the duo really is.
“Better not keep bringing her she’s gonna steal all your work,” one fan warned, followed by a number of others agreeing that Graham’s blonde look-a-like is just as beautiful as she is. But as Linda taught her daughter, looks aren’t everything.
Throughout the press tour for her book A New Model: What Confidence, Beauty and Power Really Look Like, the plus-size model has talked a lot about the influence that her mother had on her while building good character and positive self-worth. It turns out that Graham’s practice of daily affirmations is something she learned from Linda.

As a curvy woman in the modeling industry, Graham faced a lot of pressure to look a certain way, especially in the beginning of her career. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she explained that the pressure became so intense that she almost walked away, until her mother told her not to.
“She said, ‘No, no, you’re not coming home. Your body is going to change someone’s life and New York needs you. The fashion industry needs you,’ and I stayed,” Graham told the network.

Since Graham’s career has taken off, she’s never missed a moment to explain the importance of the lessons her mother instilled in her and how vital it is to raise a daughter who believes in herself and the strength of her own body.
