Ironic 'Lifeguard' Pic Has Internet Freaking Out: 'There Is Somebody Drowning in the Background'
Taking the perfect outfit pictures for social media is a serious task, especially when it’s golden hour on the beach. Jordan Carine, a woman who is no stranger to taking a fabulous photo, couldn’t pass up the opportunity of good lighting — even if there was a seemingly unattended little boy in the water in the background.
Carine posted a number of photos of herself to Twitter on Tuesday, where she’s rocking a pair of jean shorts with a cropped lifeguard hoodie. Her tweet reads, “Savin lives,” but people can’t help pointing out that she looks more like a lifeguard off-duty.

In the background of her shots, it appears that a little boy is ironically swimming unsupervised. He can be spotted in the first three photos of the tweet and then is nearly out of frame in the third shot. In the fourth and final image, he’s out of frame and replaced by a woman who may be his mother.
Lol then watch that little kid pic.twitter.com/goLvmV0S0X

Carine spoke with Yahoo Style, assuring us that the boy was OK — although people’s replies are insinuating otherwise.
“It was unintentional,” she says. “I didn’t even notice it until someone commented on the picture after it was posted. He was just playing and running from the waves.”
She managed to previously tell her followers that the boy wasn’t in any danger. But the irony is just too much for the Internet to handle.

2. As a fellow lifeguard I would like to point out that there is somebody drowning in the background— mattdingo (@kingbunch54) July 12, 2017
Luckily, Carine has a good sense of humor and even poked fun at herself with a later tweet.
