Fashion Face Off: An Office Divided About the Rodarte Show
While the Yahoo Style editors are a tight-knit group, there are some shows that we don’t always agree on. Case in point, today’s Rodarte runway spectacular filled with glen plaid blazers, spandex pants, and plenty of sequins. Here is what our editors had to say. Where do you stand on this style debate?

Finally a show worthy to be called fashion show!! People used to go see the Rodarte show for the freaky and slightly unwearable pieces but no longer. It was so pretty! I got disco fever from looking at the sparkling dresses. And the high-waisted spandex pants with lace blouses and fur collar parker coats were worthy of a stomp through the country. Those lace spandex pants are sexy! I’ll want to wear them come fall!

Ah… Rodarte, Rodarte, Rodarte, what happened? Kate and Laura used to be queens of the futurist, royalty gowns. You’d look at their clothes and think “this is what dreams are actually made of,” and now it’s like a little shop of horrors. Why all the 1980’s New Jersey late-night lounge singer sequins? Why the lace tights under cut-off shorts? The flouncy sleeves and the asymmetric skirts are straight out of Tonya Harding’s Olympic costumes. The finale dresses were like some child’s arts and craft hour gone amok. Sure there were some nice coats, and some cool trousers, but they were unfortunately not enough to save this. Less is more!
