Han Geng win his 1st MTV EMA award

14 Nov – The results have been announced and it turns out that former member of Super Junior, Han Geng, has won his very first MTV Europe Music Award.

Asiancrunch reported that at the MTV Europe Music Awards that was held in Frankfurt on 11 November, the singer beat all the other nominees, including Rihanna and Restart to win the "Best Worldwide Act" award.

The Chinese singer-actor won his first round by beating other Asia Pacific singers such as Taiwan's Jolin Tsai and Malaysia's Yuna to win the Best Asia Pacific Act, prior to be named the winner of the Worldwide Act category.

Meanwhile, another Asian singer, PSY, won "Best Video" for his phenomenal hit, "Gangnam Style", beating out Katy Perry's "Wide Awake", Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night", Rihanna's "We Found Love" feat. Calvin Harris, and M.I.A.'s "Bad Girls".

On another note, Han Geng's second album "Hope In The Darkness" has been released in July 2012.
