Hillary Clinton Says the 'Future Is Female' in Powerful New Video

Hillary Clinton is back and she’s proving to be just as inspirational as an everyday citizen as she was just a few months earlier when she was *thisclose* to becoming the first female president of the United States.

In a video for the 2017 Makers Conference released on Monday — and her first official remarks since she delivered her concession speech the day after the election in November — Clinton addressed the year’s theme, “Be Bold,” by delivering a rallying cry to women all around the world to continue the fight for gender equality.

“Despite all the challenges we face, I remain convinced that, yes, the future is female,” she said. “Just look at the amazing energy we saw last month as women organized a march that galvanized millions of people all over our country and across the world.”

Issuing a call for women to keep the momentum going, Clinton explained that now, more than ever, women need to remain strong.

“We need strong women to step up and speak out,” she continued. “We need you to dare greatly and lead boldly. So please, set an example for every women and girl out there who’s worried about what the future holds, and wonders whether our rights, opportunities, and values will endure.”

“And remember, you are the heroes and history makers, the glass ceiling breakers of the future,” she continued. “As I’ve said before, I’ll say again, never doubt you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and every opportunity in the world.”
