January Jones Has Pink Hair Now

Betty Draper is officially dead. Mad Men will air its final season starting next month but January Jones has already bid adieu to the character she’s portrayed on AMC since 2007 by dying her hair pink in preparation for the next step.

On Thursday, the actress shared a selfie from the hairdresser’s chair in the process of making a change with the hashtag #backtomyroots. But when she revealed an after shot, she was pink not a blonde. I might be mistaken here but pretty sure I paid attention in biology class and only brown, blonde, and red are genetically possible natural hair colors.

Jones did dip her toe, er, hair in pink previously, but only a few streaks. This time it seems she’s taken the full plunge. Following in the footsteps of others such as Nicole Richie, Kesha, Katy Perry, and even Helen Mirren, a pastel shade seems to be like a gateway drug to even brighter dye jobs. Richie started with a light violet, not so drastically far from her typical blonde, and now she’s changed it up multiple times to navy blue, magenta, and more. Will Jones follow in the trend? Only time will tell!
