Jennifer Aniston Wears Color For Once!
Jennifer Aniston isn’t waiting for the new year to turn over a new leaf. The actress who usually sticks with black changed things up by wearing a colorful frock at the California premiere of her new film, Office Christmas Party.
Aniston floated over the red carpet in a Roberto Cavalli Spring 2017 collection floor-length slip dress featuring a patchwork of floral patterns and embroidery, creating a very bohemian effect. This is a far cry from her wardrobe for recent appearances: the New York City premiere of Office Christmas Party in a black tailored jumpsuit; her Saturday Night Live appearance in two different black dresses; and Entertainment Weekly‘s Popfest in October in a black dress, black tights and tall black boots. We could go on, but you get the point.
As Aniston has gotten older, the actress has clearly fallen in love with the sleek sophisticated look that black provides, and we don’t blame her (although, she can pull off any color of the rainbow, or all of them at once, for that matter).
It seemed like last night Aniston was channeling her early 2000s boho phase, around the time she was married to Brad Pitt and looking carefree. We saw her in a similar dress at the 2004 Emmys — a strapless cream Chanel Haute Couture gown that had pearl and gold beading in a sort of fancy paisley pattern. With her light brown hair down, parted in the middle with soft waves falling loosely around her shoulders, the look was very high-end hippy.
We like seeing this vibrant side of Aniston…but who are we kidding? We’d like her if she wore a lampshade on her head.
