Yet another reason to envy Kendall Jenner: The reality star-turned-fashion darling just landed herself on Forbes’s list of the world’s highest paid models.
The daughter of Caitlyn and Kris Jenner reportedly made $4 million over the past year, earning her a spot at number 16, behind Daria Werbowy ($4.5M) and before Hilary Rhoda ($3.5M). And, at just 19-years-old, Jenner is also the youngest model to be featured on the elusive list.
In addition to becoming a regular on the fashion month runways (though runway shows rarely pay much, if anything), Jenner’s impressive income has been generated by her high-profile contracts with brands like Calvin Klein, Estee Lauder, Givenchy, and Fendi.
Chris Gay, general manager of Jenner’s agency The Society Management, says that the model’s major social media presence (including 36.4 million Instagram followers) makes her more appealing to big brands. “Kendall’s generation is more influenced by digital media than television, magazines or any other forms of advertising,” he tells Forbes. Meaning that companies know that hiring her is pretty much a sure bet.
Still, her paychecks are paltry next to her older sister Kim Kardashian’s, who raked in $53 million in 12 months—topping even the highest model on Forbes’s list: Gisele Bundchen, who made $44 mil.
But, again… Jenner’s only 19. Give her some time.
