Kerry Washington Wears Marc Jacobs Dress Right off the Runway

Marc Jacobs closed out New York Fashion Week with a bang last Thursday night. The always theatrical designer shut down Manhattan’s famous Ziegfeld Theater for Marc Jacobs Premiere, a collection of red-carpet-ready looks that sent the fashion flock into a flurry of excitement. Just three days later, Kerry Washington’s wearing look 49 on the red carpet at the 67th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, leaving us wondering which lucky intern had to hop on a flight to L.A. Friday morning.
Binx Walton wore the embroidered dégradé gown, which features shoulder pads, on Jacobs’s runway. But despite 100-degree temps in L.A., Washington carried it off with aplomb. On the red carpet, she told Ryan Seacrest the mesh made it bearable (and breathable!). Sequins and long sleeves are the biggest trends of the night, and this knee-length silver and gold dress hits both — without looking like anything else out there.
